Evaluation of cardiac fitness for planned non-cardiac surgeries in patients with preexistent heart problems
Patients who had undergone valve replacement, bypass surgeries or stent deployment, as well as patients with known chronic heart disease require proper assessment of their cardiac fitness for planned surgical or dental procedures, for clearance and decision making about type of anesthesia recommended, as well as management of existing anticoagulant treatment (Blood thinning medication) such as Aspirin, Plavix and Warfarin.
